“He did a wonderful thing where he, in one scene, he didn’t even want to stop. He just made me go through the speech again and again and again. He said ‘Don’t worry. Just do it’. He wanted me to get to a place where I wasn’t controlling what I was doing so I lost self consciousness, I lost control and let… going back to the Crutwell thing, ‘Let it happen’, and he would often encourage us to change lines and say something different, ‘That’s boring, that’s stale, do it again, do it differently.’ Not in an upsetting way but just impatient for us to just go to that thing where you do something and its accidental, something you hadn’t planned."
